In a rare appearance together, Miller brothers Robyn and Rand will sit down with Philip Shane, award-winning documentary filmmaker and director of the upcoming film The Myst Documentary.

Philip will be asking the brothers about the genesis of the ideas for Myst, as they walk us through those early memories and reminisce about the development Days. They'll chat about the fandom and how they feel about the success of the game. They'll also talk about their plans for the documentary 'road trip'!

Although Myst popularized the CD-ROM adventure game genre, there had been many other multimedia CD-ROM games leading up to Myst, as well as games following Myst that cribbed from it for inspiration. This panel will explore the predecessors to Myst, showing how this genre evolved by touching on milestones like Enchanted Scepters, Spaceship Warlock, and The Journeyman Project that laid the groundwork for the Myst series, plus the response from other publishers. Expect some weird games!

D’ni is haunted? For the past few weeks, explorers have been seeing a flickery, glowing human shape appearing throughout Ae’gura. When it appears, nearby explorers can hear an odd hum, and their KIs work erratically. Sometimes, they can almost make out words from the KI speaker- and the screen will flash with garbled letters. These visitations never seem to last more than a few seconds, a minute at most, and then fade. There’s no pattern to them that anyone can find. What’s going on?
