Shorah Everyone
We have some big news for you today. At long last, Mysterium 2012 registration is open! We also have several contests and calls for submission, so read on for all the info.
Theme
The theme for Mysterium this year goes all the way back to the beginning: the Mechanical Age!
Registration
You can now register for Mysterium. Single-day and weekend passes are available, along with t-shirts, through Guestlist. For more details on registration this year, please see the Registration page. Please note that standard registration ends on July 1.
Hotel
Mysterium will take place at the Best Western Plus River’s Edge in Tukwila, WA, with group rates of $109.99-$119.99. Please see the Location page for information on how to make hotel reservations. Reservations must be made by July 2.
We also have a forum open for coordinating room and ride sharing over here.
Contests and Submissions
We are ready to accept submissions for all sorts of things:
First is the annual logo contest. As usual, the winning logos will appear on the official Mysterium 2012 t-shirt. The rules are pretty much the same as past years, and submissions will be accepted until May 21.
Next are normal event submissions. Have an idea for a presentation? Want to display your work? Then head over here and let us know. Submissions are open until July 6.
Remember the con-book from previous years? Well, we are bringing it back! If you have stories, articles, artwork, or anything else you want to share with Mysterium attendees, now’s you chance to submit them. Submissions are open until June 23.
Finally, we have a new contest this year: The Create An Activity Contest. Unlike the normal event submissions above, here we mean annual activities like WWAD and the marker hunts. If you have ideas for a fun activity that we can add to the annual Mysterium repertoire, we want to hear about it. Submissions are open until June 1.
(Winter) Wrap Up
And that’s all the news for now. As we get closer to Mysterium, the schedule will start taking form, and we will fill out the Travel page with useful info for attendees. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us. And don’t forget to join our mailing list to keep up to date with any big announcements!
