Mysterium 2009 Dates

Shorah Explorers!

We are excited to announce the location and date for Mysterium 2009! The community has chosen the weekend of July 31 – August 2 for Mysterium 2009 in Spokane, WA. We are already working on finding and reserving a hotel and once we have this information we will be making another announcement with the hotel details so that you all can make your reservations. We are hoping to have this information to you by the end of December, if not sooner. Please be sure to visit our main page at http://www.mysterium.net/ for details.

– Mysterium Committee

I like this idea…

It would seem that we’re going to be treated to some illustrated fiction at Mysterium next year.  Kite Line is working on a story that will be told with audience participation in the months leading up to Mysterium, and which will be distributed at Mysterium to anyone who wants one (Kite, I hope you bring lots of copies ;)).  If you’re interested in contributing crazy ideas to this story, check out Kite Line’s blog, and be sure to come to Mysterium… this sort of thing is only the tip of the iceberg!

(Somebody stop me, I’m actually using the Mysterium Blog as a blog!  I’ve gone mad with power!  Or quite possibly just gone mad… ;))

2008 Wrap-Up Survey Coming This Week

We haven’t forgotten about you guys, we promise!  We’re putting the finishing touches on the survey and will have it out to you sometime this week, so keep your inboxes open.  There will be another post here on the site once the survey has been sent out so that you know when to start checking your spam folder ;).

Mysterium 2009 Date & Input Survey

Shorah!

As 2009 approaches, we are looking to you, the community, to give us input on Mysterium to help guide our planning efforts.  To that end, we have posted a new survey to gather feedback.  This survey will be open until November 16th.  If you are interested in attending Mysterium next year, please take a few minutes and fill it out.

We are interested in your preferences for the date of Mysterium, ranked from most-preferable, to least-preferable. The results will then be scaled; to give the most-preferable votes more weight and the least-preferable the least weight. This will allow a more accurate picture of which weekend people prefer, and it will allow us to easily determine a second choice.  Please be aware that the Mysterium Committee will do its best to schedule Mysterium for the most-preferred date, but that other factors such as cost and hotel availability may require us to alter our decision, in which case we will target the next most-preferred date.

Building on the success of Mysterium 2008, we are also seeking input on what you would like to see from Mysterium in the future.  Keep in mind that not everything in this survey may be on the schedule for 2009, but knowing what direction you would like to take this convention will help us fine-tune our planning process and increase our focus.

To participate in this survey, please click here or visit the Polls page.  Thank you in advance for your interest and participation.
