Hotel Booking Deadline and Guest Announcement

Planning continues to go very well, and we have some fabulous announcements for you today.

Hotel Final Booking Deadline

The deadline for booking a hotel room at the Mysterium rate is Monday, June 15th. If you haven’t booked your room yet, now is the time to do so! If you’re looking for a roommate for your stay, we have a Looking For People channel on our Discord server that we recommend you use.

And please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions about your stay.

Special Guest Announcement

We are thrilled to announce that the folks from Giant Bomb will be attending Mysterium this year! They are bringing an amazing event to this year’s Mysterium: The Trial of Daddy Atrus.

He decided that he wanted to play through the Myst series on Giant Bomb and made his friends watch him do it, and now here we are.

 

 

 

Schedule

As we have new guests arriving, the schedule for Saturday and Sunday has been adjusted a little. Changes are already live on our schedule page.

Creativity Prompt

The prompt for June/July is “Matchmaker”. If you have an art piece or written piece that you’d like to submit for that prompt, head on over to our Discord server!

Schedule is Live

We are thrilled to announce that our schedule is now live! We will be reintroducing our unofficial pool party on Thursday evening. There are a lot of fantastic events on the schedule, some returning fun ones, and others brand new.

Special Guests

We have two special guests who will be joining us at Mysterium this year! Eric A. Anderson and Hannah Gamiel from Cyan will be on site for the annual Cyan State of the Union presentation.

Eric A. Anderson

Eric A. Anderson is a veteran game developer, technical artist, and worldbuilder with more than a quarter century of experience creating immersive interactive environments and exploration-driven experiences. From his start at Cyan Worlds as an entry-level 3D artist in 2000, he became Creative Director in 2019, where he leads the long-term creative vision of one of the video game industry’s oldest independent studios, and one of the pioneers of environmental storytelling and puzzle-driven design.

He’s overseen and shaped projects including the fully reimagined Myst (2021), the original adventure title Firmament (2023), and the modern ground-up remake of Riven (2024). These projects (and more) expanded Cyan’s legacy into modern platforms while preserving the studio’s emphasis on atmosphere, curiosity, and discovery.

Hannah Gamiel

Hannah Gamiel is a game developer, engineer, and studio leader serving as Development Director and Co-Studio Head at Cyan Worlds, Inc. since 2019, where she oversees business operations, production, platform strategy, engineering, and publisher relations across all active projects. She has spent more than a decade helping shape some of the most beloved titles in adventure gaming history, broadening support for those titles on modern platforms, and leading teams of developers toward successful game releases.

She has worked on the following Cyan titles – either from their inception or for update purposes – in an engineering capacity, production or release management capacity, or more: Myst (Legacy) for iOS, Riven (Legacy) for iOS, realMyst: Masterpiece Edition, Myst: Masterpiece Edition, Riven: The Sequel to Myst (1997), Myst III: Exile, Myst IV: Revelation, Myst V: End of Ages, URU, Obduction, Firmament, Myst (2020), Riven (2024). She has also worked on titles outside of Cyan such as The Witness and Braid: Anniversary Edition, in addition to titles from other companies not yet announced.

The deadline for premium registration and shirts is May 24th, which is coming up quickly. So if you would like to order a shirt, please do so before then.

Submissions Reminder

Writing and Art Table submissions are still open until July 10th. At this time, all other submissions are closed.

Event Submission Reminders

Last call for event submissions! These will close on April 30th, so if you have a fun idea that you’d like to share during the con, now is the time to submit it. After the 30th, submissions will close, and we’ll finalize the schedule.

Registration is Open!

Registration

Registration is now open! There are a couple of tier options you may choose from.

  • Early standard registration, which is admission only, is $30, or
  • Premium registration, which is admission and a shirt, is $50.

Please note that premium registration, pin, and shirt sales will end on May 24th. After that, standard registration will remain open until July 1st, and the standard registration price will increase to $35. Additional swag is also available to pre-order until July 1st.

After this date, swag will no longer be available to pre-order. Swag and registration will be available on-site as stock and capacity permits.

Shirts

Folks, we have shirts. This year’s design features the jungles of Haven, overlooked by Mt. Hood. The front design was created by Drea and Kelly, and the back design was created by Drea and Ace.

 

Swag

Speaking of swag. We have some delightful things to share with you!

Suncatchers

Kelly “Rayne” Coston has been hard at work making some beautiful swag for Mysterium this year. First up are Haven suncatchers. These measure 3.5” and are UV printed on acrylic sheets. Perfect for a tree ornament or for hanging in the window.

Lanyard Charms

We have three lanyard charm designs for you this year. The Black Ships sigil, a Compass Rose, and an MTA Orange Cone. These measure approximately 1.15” and are great for lanyards or zipper pulls.

We will also have a postcard pack of four with some Haven art, metal bookmarks featuring constellations, magnets featuring some cute Haven animals, and of course, enamel pins.

December/January Creativity Prompt Winner
