Hotel

Mysterium 2018 will be held in the Holiday Inn St. Louis – Downtown Convention Center, located only a few blocks away from The Gateway Arch. We have secured a rate of $119/night. Rooms with one or two beds are available. Complimentary breakfast is included with our group rate. You must reserve a room from our room block to receive complimentary breakfast.

Note that general booking at the group rate was only available through July 4th. Any bookings are now subject to the hotel’s approval and availability. To request a booking now, please complete this form, skipping the reservation number field, and a member of the Committee will be in touch to figure out what we can do.

Parking

There are two options for parking at the hotel, both are past the hotel’s entrance loop and portico when traveling on N 9th St. from Washington Ave. Hotel guests may use the first, a 75-car surface lot, by using their room key upon exiting. All attendees may use the second, an independently-operated 4-story parking garage adjacent to the surface lot, by taking the ticket given at the entrance to the hotel’s front desk and paying to receive another ticket that may be used to exit the garage. For either option, the cost is $5, negotiated down from the normal $15.

Getting to Mysterium

Airport

St. Louis Lambert International Airport – https://www.flystl.com/

10701 Lambert International Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63145 (Right in the middle of I-70, I-170, and I-270)

From the airport, we suggest utilizing the MetroLink light rail trains which can be accessed by following the posted signs to the far end of the baggage claim area. Using this method, a $4 one-way ticket will take you on the Red Line all the way to or from your destination, the Convention Center stop, with no transfers. The hotel is 0.3 miles from this stop, west along Washington Ave (past the front of the convention center), and then north along N 9th St.

Public Transportation

Metro Transit – Public transit provider for the greater St. Louis area. https://www.metrostlouis.org/

Passes can be purchased in advanced at MetroStore.org or via the fare vending machines at all stations.

MetroLink (Light Rail) MetroBus (Buses)
MetroLink is a light rail transit system, running across central St. Louis to Clayton and Lambert International Airport. The nearest station is Convention Center, accessible to both the Red and Blue Lines. Metro Transit runs an extensive local bus service. Many bus lines make stops near the hotel and Convention Center, with the 32 and 99 offering the closest stops.

Ofo and LimeBike operate in the city, offering dockless pedal bicycle rentals (and in the case of the latter, electric-assist bikes and scooters). Note that neither of these services will provide helmets, for that you’ll have to investigate traditional rentals like nearby Around Town Bikes or Urban Shark Bicycle Company.

Other Transportation Methods

The Gateway Transportation Center connects Metro Transit with Amtrak, Greyhound, and other major bus systems.

Trains

Amtrak (Long-Distance Passenger Rail)
Long distance rail service through STL is available on Amtrak’s Illinois Service, Missouri River Runner, and Texas Eagle lines. For more information, see:
